What to expect
Visitors can sit down with experienced researchers who walk them through the DAR application process. The open house is annual and runs two hours. Walk-ins are welcome, since no registration is needed. Researchers also explain Patriotic Service, a wider category that covers things like members of the Boston Tea Party, doctors and nurses who aided the wounded, and ministers who gave patriotic sermons.
