What to expect
St. Louis-based artist Sterling Lawrence shows new work at the Sam Fox School Gallery. A birdhouse, a light box and a sheet of paper become sculptures in raw aluminum, stripped of the cues that tell us what they are. The work reflects a period of personal change as the artist enters fatherhood.
