What to expect

The story follows Hildegard von Bingen, a medieval saint, healer and composer, who is locked in a cloister cell as a young girl. She is joined by Jutta, a woman who has secluded herself to recover from deep trauma. Together they work through Hildegard's fragmented self while Jutta preaches a rejection of brokenness. The score is described as sonically sophisticated, and the show is framed as a saga of two women broken by the world and the healing that changed history.
