Patti Austin first sang on the Apollo stage at age four and became a top New York session voice in the 1970s, heard behind Paul Simon, James Brown, Roberta Flack and Luther Vandross before working with her godfather Quincy Jones. Her set moves between soul, jazz and pop standards and previews For Ella 2, her tribute to Ella Fitzgerald told in her own storytelling style.
