What to expect
The program is a trio of new works. Artistic director Kirven Douthit-Boyd, a former Alvin Ailey dancer, mixes movement styles into bold stories. Rena Butler, a Princess Grace and Isadora Duncan award winner, is known for percussive, emotionally direct choreography. Keerati Jinakunwiphat, the first Asian woman commissioned by New York City Ballet, builds work on the relationships between dancers.
