What to expect

Each session is a class that teaches kids what they need to succeed in rated competition. Students learn intermediate strategy and tactics, along with tournament etiquette and what to expect at events. The class meets weekly on Sundays. Kids should already be comfortable playing a complete game on their own before joining. The class is run by the Saint Louis Chess Club and is aimed at players who want to begin or continue a tournament chess career.
