What to expect
Directed by Diana Higbee and conducted by Scott Schoonover, the production stages a mythical, ice-bound kingdom where a princess sets her suitors a deadly game of riddles. The story builds to a finale that was completed from Puccini's final sketches after his death. The tenor aria Nessun dorma is the best-known moment.
