What to expect

Visitors see character telephones such as Winnie-the-Pooh, R2-D2, Big Bird and Kermit the Frog, alongside a collection of telephones made from the late 1800s through the 2010s. The museum is housed in a restored 1896 building inside Jefferson Barracks Park. Hands-on exhibits show how things work, and displays cover telephone equipment, memorabilia from the 1880s through the 2000s, and military phones from WWI through the Gulf War. The source describes it as a fun family outing and a field trip for students.
