What to expect

The film follows Marie, an Ivorian pastor and former journalist who takes in three generations of migrant women in Tunisia. Naney fights for residency status, Jolie feels pressure over her future, and Kenza, an orphaned shipwreck survivor, needs a mother. The women build a makeshift family while dealing with poverty, conflict and alienation. The screening is part of the 2026 Francophone Film Festival from the RLL department, which looks at global health through a decolonial lens.
