What to expect
A Halloween history festival along the historic Main Street district, held over three October weekends. Costumed villains, witches and spirits from folklore and literature wander the street and play along with visitors. Stops include a Victorian mourning museum, a Day of the Dead plaza with sugar-skull face painting, a table for writing scary stories with Edgar Allan Poe and a fiddle-playing plague doctor, plus a self-guided video tour of the street's paranormal spots. Admission is free.
