What to expect
The exhibition traces a century of printed matter, including magazines and books, displayed next to the original artwork made for those printed illustrations. It shows how the link between words and pictures drove a growing demand for popular print. The show also covers the notable authors and artists who drew public attention, along with advances in printing technology. It was organized by curators Andrea Degener, Douglas B. Dowd and Cassie Brand.
