What to expect
The talk takes you back to a time before Illinois was a state, when the land was prairie grass and rich soil. Anna Sielaff traces the Edwards Trace, a trail at least 3,000 years old that ran from Kaskaskia to Peoria. It follows the paths of animal herds, and the source notes that Native Americans used it to track seasonal migrations for hunting, trade and warfare.
