What to expect
Photographs of sunrise, fog, wind and sand sit beside towboats, locks and dams, tracing how people and industry meet the natural world. Rita Chu made the images while paddling these rivers, so the work reads as quiet, personal observation. The artist's statement describes the river as both a physical place and a space for reflection and change.
