What to expect
Vendors sell locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables and meats, along with baked goods and handcrafted items from the local area. The market was opened in 2009 by volunteers to showcase locally produced goods in the Village, and an all-volunteer staff still runs it each week. It is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation, so the market is run for community benefit rather than profit.
