What to expect
A 25-minute talk in the galleries about the Cascades, the massive waterfall at the center of the 1904 World's Fair. Before it opened, the city's notoriously murky water nearly derailed the project. The talk follows the race to make the falls sparkle and introduces John Wixford, whose solution fixed the water problem but whose name has largely been lost to history.
