What to expect
The program opens with a talk on the history of Hayner Library and Alton's hauntings, then a Ghosts 101 segment with the team from Alton Odyssey Tours. After the presentation, guests can stay to hunt for ghosts. The group starts in the Genealogy & Local History Library and ends at the Downtown Library on Belle Street. Ghost hunting equipment is provided, though supplies are limited, so bringing your own gear is welcome. Hayner's Library of Things also has more ghost-hunting gear to check out.
