What to expect
Curatorial fellow Maya Carden compares plates from the 1749 and reworked 1761 editions of Giovanni Battista Piranesi's Carceri d'invenzione, from the museum's permanent collection. She looks at his innovations in medium and style in Rome and his place between Roman Neoclassicism and late 18th-century Romanticism. It is part of the New Perspectives series of public talks.
