What to expect

Starting from the shadbush tree Caycedo planted in an East Harlem community garden in 2022, part of her Genealogy of Struggle series, Temkin traces roots, seeds and branches through the artist's practice and art histories of the Americas, touching on protest, ecofeminism, solidarity and resistance. The talk ties to the exhibition Carolina Caycedo: Growing Deep Roots and is part of the Sam Fox School Public Lecture Series.
