What to expect
Bring a possible fossil to the Fossil Road Show for expert identification, then split layered rock from an ancient lake to look for fossil fish, search gravel for fossils and watch specimens being prepared. Private collections show finds from ancient Missouri seas and beyond. Children can try feather-a-dinosaur crafts, coloring and crinoid fossil bracelets, and the paleoart gallery shows Lola, a giant Tyrannosaurus skull sculpture by Nicki Mizell. At the Dino Trading Post, swap a toy dinosaur for another.
