What to expect
Comedian and cultural critic D.L. Hughley talks about "Charlie's Boy," his memoir about rising from South Central Los Angeles and the man who raised him: Charlie Hughley, a soft-spoken airport bag handler who was not his biological father. Expect a conversation about the book, not a stand-up comedy set. Proceeds support the St. Louis County Library Foundation's community literacy initiatives.
Good to know
- Onstage conversation, not a stand-up comedy show
- Book signing and photo line after the talk
- Books provided by EyeSeeMe African American Children's Bookstore
- Proceeds benefit the library foundation's literacy initiatives
